Dr. Jill M. Hackman joined the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) on June 1, 2009. Prior to her appointment as executive director, she served as the assistant executive director for the organization, a position she held for two years.
In her roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Donna DeLoretta is responsible for developing and supervising all management services relative to all the components/programs that comprise the Intermediate Unit.
In her role, Lucille Gallis is responsible for developing and managing all business financials as they relate to all the components/programs that comprise the Intermediate Unit including management of the overall accounting, daily financial operations, and payroll.
In his role, Mr. Eric Clemmer is responsible for developing and managing all business operations as they relate to all the components/programs that comprise the Intermediate Unit, including management of operations, maintenance, purchasing, and transportation.
In her role as Director, Dr. Michelle Reichard-Huff is responsible for planning, administering, and supervising areas of the general administrative and educational functions for the Office of Early Childhood and Student Services and its 550 staff members.
In her role as the Assistant Director of Early Childhood Services, Christi Weitzel is responsible for the planning, administration, and supervision of all programs serving children in the BCIU’s Early Childhood Programs.
In her role as the Assistant Director of Student Services & K-12 Education, Sara George is responsible for the planning, administration, and supervision of all programs serving students in Alternative and School-Age Special Education Services.
In his role as Director, Office of Human Resources, Rob Rosenberry provides leadership in human resources and policy and procedure development for
the Berks County Intermediate Unit and serves as a resource to constituent school districts.
In his role as Chief Information Officer, Scott Major is responsible for setting the strategic direction for IT services aligned with the strategies and business requirements of the broader intermediate unit roadmap, and in support of client district needs and initiatives. In addition to the traditional role of the CIO, the OIT also serves as a vehicle for the creation and launch of innovative and strategic services and programs.
As Assistant Director of the Office of Information Technology, Cherie Zimmerman is responsible for the tactical operation of the Office’s technology and systems in delivering IT services to our client school districts and internal IU programs.
As Director, Dan Richards is responsible for planning, administering, and supervising specific areas of the general administrative and educational functions for the Office of Professional Development and Curriculum. Other key assignments include Berks County Curriculum Coordinators, PA Department of Education Liaison, and PAIUCC Representative.
In her role as Assistant Director of the Office of Professional Development and Curriculum, Dr. Christina Foehl provides leadership in the area of literacy, work with the nonpublic schools program, continuing professional education programs, comprehensive school planning, various state initiatives, and other services related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
