Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the BCIU has continued its mission of serving the students, families, educators, and greater community in Berks County and across the Commonwealth. The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) Board of Directors approved the BCIU Health and Safety Plan, effective July 1, 2021, on June 17, 2021. Due to the dynamic nature of COVID-19, the BCIU Health and Safety Plan is subject to change as needed throughout the 2021-2022 school year. Subsequently, essential revisions made to the plan were approved by the BCIU Board of Directors on March 17, 2022.
The plan outlines the BCIU’s strategy in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic in a collaborative approach and is based on information regarding plans identified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Due to the dynamic nature of COVID-19, the BCIU Health and Safety Plan is subject to change as needed throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
This BCIU has curated a collection of health agency resources and articles related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including resources for both physical and mental health and wellness. It serves as a collection point for parents, school administrators, and staff seeking information and resources regarding COVID-19.
