About the


The Office of Information Technology supports the core technology and operational requirements of the Berks County Intermediate Unit’s programs by insuring that staff members and programs have the necessary access to information, applications, and supporting technology.

Additionally, the office is responsible to the broader community of technology users at our member school districts in providing applications support for a variety of systems and services that support the daily operations of these constituent organizations. They provide technology services to our partner schools and community organizations in a variety of areas.

  • Network Consulting Services, Including Design, Troubleshooting/Diagnostic, and Configuration
  • Desktop Computer Deployment Management, Troubleshooting, Software Support, and Lease Management
  • Mobile Device Procurement, Deployment, Management, and Support
  • Multi-Purpose Peripheral Device Lease Management, Maintenance, and Support
  • Technology Purchases Process Management, Compatibility Analysis, Legal Review, and Installation

Software Services

The Office of Information Technology provides Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery of application software to school districts, townships, municipalities, and BCIU programs for:

  • K-12 Student Management (eSchoolPLUS/Infinite Campus)
  • K-12 Special Education Case/Information Management (IEPPlus/Infinite Campus)
  • K-12 Financial Management (eFinancePLUS/CSIU Financials)
  • Tax Billing (eTaxTrax®)

Additionally, the office provides support services for a variety of state and federal reporting platforms, including the Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS), Alternative Education Reporting, PennData, Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Annual Financial Reporting (AFR), and more.

  • Development and support of PA Keys portal, eTaxTrax®, Career Ready Berks, internal tools, applications and websites for BCIU Programs and across the Commonwealth
