In keeping with its mission to embed equity awareness practices across the organization and engage in systematic change, The Pennsylvania Key is supporting 15 staff members as they participate in the Equity Literacy Institute’s Racial Equity Facilitator Training.
In this virtual workshop series, experienced Equity Literacy Institute facilitators and special guests are educating The Pennsylvania Key staff on how to design and lead effective, well-organized, deep-reaching racial equity and justice professional learning opportunities based on the equity literacy framework. Staff will also explore how to effectively engage colleagues in deep learning about racism, white privilege, and related conditions in less formal contexts or impromptu opportunities. At the conclusion of the training series, the group will meet with Dr. Marnie Aylesworth, Executive Director of The Pennsylvania Key, to offer recommendations for organizational initiatives and changes.
The virtual 10-hour training series occurs over a four-week period. The Equity Literacy Institute and EdChange have been leading educational equity and justice facilitator trainings for more than 20 years.
