Expanding its offerings to meet the needs of Berks County families, the Berks County Intermediate Unit’s Child Care program is now offering full-day support for students in districts that have started the year with remote learning.
The combined virtual learning and child care classrooms are being offered in support of families in the Antietam, Exeter Township, Muhlenberg, Reading, and Schuylkill Valley school districts in need of full-day child care for their school-age children.
In the classrooms, BCIU Child Care staff are present to guide and assist children with their daily school learning activities. Staff will also communicate with parents to help determine if contact with school district staff is needed for additional support.
