The 2023 Higher Education Campus Visits organized by the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) and the Berks Business Education Coalition (BBEC) are an exciting opportunity for Berks County students to explore their options for post-secondary education. The visits, which took place between February and April of this year, featured four local higher education institutions, including Albright College, Kutztown University, Penn State Berks, and Reading Area Community College (RACC).
Over 16 school districts participated in this year’s Higher Education Campus Visits, with an estimated 3,280 students taking part in the program. This initiative aims to inspire and encourage students to pursue higher education as a post-secondary option by providing them with the opportunity to visit and experience various college campuses in their
local community.
Albright College, Kutztown University, Penn State Berks, and RACC offered students with immersive college visit experiences, allowing them to learn about the various academic and extracurricular activities available to them on each campus. Students were able to gather information and ask questions to help them make informed decisions about their future education and career paths.
Berks County has rich education opportunities available. Knowing that college visits can be valuable for preparing students for success after high school, this initiative is key in assisting students to discover academic resources and introducing them to prospects for higher learning right here in Berks County.
