The Berks County Transition Coordinating Council (BCTCC) and the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) hosted the 2023 Transition Expo on Thursday, April 13, at the BCIU Main Office. This free event connected students with disabilities and their families to local agencies and organizations that can assist in planning for the transition from school to adult life. With over 35 vendors, youth-focused activities, parent networking opportunities, and informative sessions, the Expo provided valuable resources for employment, education, independent living, and more.
The Transition Expo hosted the following sessions:
• Wills and Trusts
• Waiver Funding
• Postsecondary Education and Disability Services
• Special Needs Financial Planning
