The Berks County Intermediate Unit hosted its annual Mid-Year State of the Unit virtually on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. More than 200 staff members joined the live presentation.
The event theme, “Navigating Ahead: A Commitment to Change,” was first introduced at the Start of the Year in August. During the presentation, the leadership of the BCIU and the Pennsylvania Key provided an overview of each office’s accomplishments thus far and their ongoing goals for the remainder of the 2020-2021 year.
Areas of focus included health and safety, specifically the work of the Pandemic Team which has helped steer the BCIU through an unprecedented year. Staff also received an overview of the annual employee engagement survey and the opportunities that the leadership team has identified based on the results.
