Co-teaching is a practice of pairing educators in order to utilize each of their strengths to maximize student learning. Professional development in co-teaching assists pairs or teams of teachers to understand different models of co-teaching. It also assists teachers to anticipate and circumnavigate the possible challenges of co-teaching and capitalize on its strengths.
