In his keynote presentation, Leadership Lessons Learning in the Pursuit of Excellence, Former Navy SEAL David Cooper will share his experiences and insight into how to:
Mr. David Cooper earned a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Juniata College in 1987 and entered the military that same year to become a United States Navy SEAL. During his 25-year career, Mr. Cooper spent nearly 19 of those at the prestigious Naval Special Warfare Development Group, conducting combat operations throughout Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. From 2009 to 2011, Mr. Cooper served as the Command Master Chief for this group. His role took him from the battlefield to the interagency boardroom, allowing his influence, interpersonal skills, and leadership to be instrumental to the unparalleled success of this elite unit.
Mr. Cooper presently serves as co-founder and chief security officer of the Karakoram Group, a veteran-owned consulting firm that combines the deep experiences and lessons of combat leadership with such diverse disciplines as design and strategic thinking, organizational change management, creating high-purpose cultures, and leadership coaching and advising. He earned a specialized master’s degree in complexity science and psychology offered jointly by Oxford University and HEC (Paris).
