The Executive Office oversees the corporate communications of the BCIU. It publicizes and promotes the agency’s many programs and services while facilitating effective communication among BCIU departments and the schools and communities they serve.

The Executive Office Creative Team also provides professional communications and marketing communication services to external clients, including schools and nonprofit organizations. These communications includes branding, logo design, publications, marketing, social media, photography, web design, and video.

Additional functions of the Office include coordinating the BCIU’s relations with the mass media and producing publications, such as NewsLink (BCIU’s monthly newsletter), and insideBCIU (monthly video highlights) for board members and school administrators, both of which spotlight services and programs of interest to schools; and the annual report which presents BCIU’s message to the districts and the community.

The Executive Office responsibilities also include the administration of the county-wide All Hazards Planning – a coordinated approach to emergency preparedness encouraging effective and consistent response to any disaster or emergency, regardless of the cause.
