The Berks County Intermediate Unit is seeking an Autistic Support Teacher to be assigned to the Reading School District.

This support teacher will design, implement, and continuously improve instructional programs tailored to the individual needs of students requiring Autistic Support services. They will also ensure the effective delivery of specifically designed instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and promote success in both school and community settings.

Qualifications:
• Valid Pennsylvania Certification as required by Dept of Education.
• Experience working with students with Autism preferred.
• Knowledge and experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and explicit instruction, including Direct Instruction.
