On Friday, August 15, 2025, representatives from the BCIU Office of Early Childhood & Student Services participated in the Back-to-School Giveaway event, hosted by State Representative Manny Guzman and City of Reading Mayor Eddie Moran.
The event brought together community organizations to provide students and families with school supplies, resources, and information to help prepare for the 2025-2026 school year. BCIU staff members Zach Milch, Program Administrator of Alternative Education; Megan Leinbach, School Social Worker; Jenni Reinhold, Social Services Supervisor; and Escarlyn Rosario, Social Work Intern, welcomed families and distributed school supplies.
The BCIU extends its sincere appreciation to Representative Guzman, Mayor Moran, event volunteers, and community partners for their commitment to supporting Berks County students and families as they begin the new school year.

Attendees connected with job-alike colleagues, received important leadership updates, and explored professional learning opportunities for the year ahead.
The morning concluded with an inspiring keynote from Dr. Adolph Brown, who encouraged leaders to “Lead By Example,” emphasizing trust, integrity, and alignment between words and actions.
