Representatives of the Berks County Intermediate and Pennsylvania’s Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (ECYEH) Program were in Washington, D.C., on November 4 for the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth conference.
Kristen Hoffa, ECYEH Region 2 Supervisor; Melissa DeMotta, Site Coordinator for Alternative Education; and Tabitha Kramer, Specialist for Alternative Education presented two sessions on education homeless and foster care students.
While in Washington, D.C., ECYEH joined other advocates from Pennsylvania to visit the offices of Senators Bob Casey and Pat Toomey to educate their staff on the needs of homeless youth.
