Charlene Brown, Human Resources Compliance Specialist, has been named Employee of the Month for August 2026.

For the past four years, Charlene has been making a positive impact at the BCIU through her dedication to employee support and her commitment to ensuring efficient, effective Human Resources processes. As Human Resources Compliance Specialist, she plays a key role in helping individuals begin their educational careers through the BCIU’s Guest Teacher Program.

A lifelong resident of Muhlenberg Township, Charlene earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Kutztown University. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, daughter Mikaela, and their cat, Asher. Outside of work, she loves traveling, attending live music events, and cheering on her favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Colleagues know Charlene for her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and talent for finding efficient solutions to complex challenges. Describing herself as an “efficiency-minded logistics enthusiast,” she brings exceptional organization, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to everything she does.

Charlene shares that one of the most rewarding aspects of her role is helping people become substitute teachers through the Guest Teacher Program. Her commitment to supporting others and creating pathways into education reflects the mission and values of the BCIU every day.
