The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) hosted the 2026 Sea, Air, & Land (SeAL) Challenge on April 30, 2026, at the Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC), West Campus, bringing together high school students from across Berks County for a day of hands-on STEM competition.
The 12–16-week program engages student teams in designing and building robotic systems while applying the engineering design process to solve real-world challenges. On Challenge Day, students put their work to the test by tackling realistic Sea, Air, and Land missions inspired by scenarios faced by the military, national security agencies, and first responders. Throughout the competition, teams demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills as they worked to overcome obstacles and operate under pressure.
This year’s event featured 12 Land teams, 6 Sea teams, and 5 Air teams, all showcasing innovative and technical experience
