District IT leaders, administrators, business officials, and communications professionals participated in the scenario-based training designed to simulate real-world cybersecurity incidents and challenge teams to navigate response, communication, and recovery efforts under pressure.
Throughout the morning, participants worked through complex cyber incident scenarios, engaging in thoughtful discussion and strategic decision-making to assess preparedness, strengthen incident response protocols, and enhance coordinated response efforts across school communities.
The event was made possible through the support and expertise of valued event partners, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Capsicum Group, Cyflare, Xtel Communications, and FGS Global. Their guidance provided participants with practical insights for navigating today’s evolving cyber threat landscape.
The collaborative exercise reinforced the importance of proactive planning and partnership in protecting school systems from cyber threats. Together, Berks County school leaders are building a stronger, more resilient cybersecurity culture to better protect students, staff, and school communities.
