On Saturday, April 18, 2026, families gathered at Centro Hispano for the uplifting Engage and Grow: Kindness Comes in Every Color event, hosted by the BCIU Office of Early Childhood and Student Services (ECSS). The morning brought together community members of all ages for a vibrant and meaningful time centered on connection, learning, and celebrating kindness.
Families enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere filled with snacks, interactive hands-on activities, and exciting giveaways. The event created a space for families to engage with one another while exploring valuable resources designed to support growth and well-being.
A key strength of the event was the wide range of information available. Families learned more about services, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinics, counseling and therapy options, autism resources, SNAP benefits, and parent support groups. These resources provided practical guidance and connections for families seeking support within the community.
The success of Engage and Grow reflects ECSS’s ongoing commitment to fostering kindness, inclusivity, and strong community partnerships. The team looks forward to continuing to build connections and creating opportunities for families to learn and grow together.
