Lyndsey Ferraro, PreK Counts Teacher at Wyomissing Hills Elementary in the Office of Early Childhood and Student Services, has been named Employee of the Month for April 2026.
With four years at the BCIU and more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education, Lyndsey creates a nurturing, engaging classroom where students thrive through child-led, project-based learning. Her creativity, reliability, and proactive classroom management help ensure that all students feel supported, confident, and successful. She is also known for building strong partnerships with families and bringing a collaborative, team-focused approach to her work.
“Lyndsey consistently creates a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and engaged,” shared Kim Rolon, Assistant Program Administrator for Pre-K Counts. “She is a trusted, reliable team member whose creativity, flexibility, and commitment make a lasting impact on both students and colleagues.”
Before joining the BCIU, Lyndsey spent 17 years as a Head Start teacher and remains a passionate advocate for early childhood education and its lifelong impact on children.
She resides in Berks County with her husband, Justin, and their two sons, Giovanni (18) and Anthony (13). Outside of the classroom, Lyndsey enjoys watching her boys play baseball, gardening, skiing, and taking walks with her family.
