The month of March concluded with a community focused celebration of career exploration during Career Ready Berks Night, held March 27 in partnership with the Reading Royals. The event transformed the arena concourse into a vibrant career pathway showcase, where students and families could meet local employers in a relaxed, engaging environment before the game.
Businesses from across the region shared information about in-demand skills, workforce needs, and future career opportunities, helping students make connections between classroom learning and real world pathways. A Career Ready “passport” activity encouraged students to visit multiple employer tables, sparking conversations and building awareness of the many industries thriving in Berks County.
Thanks to generous business sponsorships, Berks County students received free admission with the purchase of an adult ticket, making the event accessible to families throughout the community.
Career Ready Berks Night reflects the BCIU’s ongoing commitment to preparing students not only for academic success but also for meaningful, informed transitions into the workforce. By bringing employers and students together, the event strengthens community partnerships and supports long term career readiness across the county.
