The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) recognized second-shift custodians Brandon Moser and Mike Crimmons as BCIU Champions for their swift and professional response to an after-hours fire-related incident on Friday evening, February 27, at the Learning Center at Pine Forge.
Through quick thinking, calm action, and clear communication, Mr. Moser and Mr. Crimmons ensured the situation was addressed promptly and safely, preventing a more serious outcome. Their vigilance and teamwork exemplify the dedication and professionalism that define the BCIU.
BCIU officials, joined by Board Member Jim Brophy and Boyertown Area School District Superintendent Dr. Scott Davidheiser, presented Champion Awards to both individuals in recognition of their outstanding efforts.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Davidheiser and the Boyertown Area School District team for their partnership and support throughout the weekend, as well as to the BCIU Operations team for their rapid and effective response. Their coordinated efforts helped to ensure that services for students and families continued without interruption.
The BCIU is grateful for the team members and community partners who go above and beyond each day to maintain safe, supportive learning environments for our students and staff.
