In celebration of Read Across America, Dr. Michelle Reichard-Huff, Director of Early Childhood & Student Services, visited a Head Start classroom at Jacksonwald Elementary School to share the joy of reading with our youngest learners.
Students enjoyed a lively reading of The Pigeon Needs a Bath! along with other beloved Mo Willems books, engaging in thoughtful conversations throughout the stories.
At the Learning Center at Pine Forge, the Early Intervention team also brought stories to life—surprising students by dressing up as the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, and Thing 2. The celebration sparked imagination and laughter while reinforcing a love of reading across classrooms.
Early literacy experiences lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Events like these reflect our ongoing commitment to building strong literacy skills and a love of reading from the very beginning.
Thank you to our Head Start team at Jacksonwald Elementary and our Early Intervention team at Pine Forge for their continued partnership in supporting early childhood education.
