At the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) and the Pennsylvania Key, employees are the heart of every program, every initiative, and every success story. On Employee Appreciation Day, the organization recognized the dedication, professionalism, and care of its staff through a special video hosted by Steven Adames, a Reading School District student in the Pathways to Adult Living (PAL) Program.
Steven, a “Super Senior,” guided viewers through messages of gratitude from BCIU Board officers, office directors, and fellow students. “I get to help say a huge thank you to all the amazing employees at the BCIU and the Pennsylvania Key! Wherever you work, whatever you do makes a difference every day, and we really appreciate you!” Steven shared on camera.
Messages from the BCIU Board officers, office directors, and the Pennsylvania Key leadership highlighted how employees make the organization’s mission possible. Students from early childhood and school-age programs added their voices, expressing gratitude for the staff who support their learning, growth, and well-being every day.
“Our employees play an essential role in supporting our families, our students, and our communities each and every day with their dedication and commitment to our mission of service. We are grateful for the care, professionalism, and compassion they bring to their work and to the lives of those we serve.” ~Dr. Jill Hackman
