From November 3-5, 2025, staff from the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) Education Leading to Employment and Career Training (ELECT) Program attended the 2025 Fall ELECT Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The event brought together ELECT programs from across the state, along with youth service providers, community partners, and administrators, all dedicated to supporting expectant and parenting teens and young parents.
This year, the ELECT Program celebrated its 35th anniversary with the theme “Empowering Generations: Celebrating 35 Years of Supporting Young Families.” During the conference, Jennifer Reinhold, Program Supervisor for the BCIU’s ELECT Program, was honored for her 24 years of dedicated service to the program.
The conference highlighted the ongoing commitment of ELECT programs to empower young families, providing the resources, guidance, and support they need to thrive. It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on decades of impact and look ahead to continued success in supporting young parents and their children.
