Art educators participating in pottery during Common Inservice

On October 13, 2025, the Berks County Intermediate Unit’s Office of Professional Learning (OPL) provided professional development to close to 1,000 educators across the County through in-person, in-district, and virtual sessions.

 

RELATED ARTS & PARAPROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS

OPL coordinated countywide sessions for 765 educators, hosted at partner schools and organizations:

Music, Art, Health & PE, Technology/STEM, World Language, Librarians, ESL, and Gifted Education

Internship coordinators toured local businesses and networked with peers

Specialty trainings included Alternatives to Standardized Assessments and Practical Strategies for Low-Incidence Classrooms

 

IN-DISTRICT SESSIONS

OPL and TaC consultants offered tailored training for districts, including:

Fleetwood Area

Oley Valley Elementary

Boyertown Area Senior High

Berks Catholic High School

 

VIRTUAL FLEX COURSES

Nearly 100 educators completed FLEX courses, designed to support teaching in virtual and blended learning environments.
