BCIU Reading Fightin Phils Night. EI Staff and Student with Family pictures with Screwball mascot and the Phillie Phanatic

Despite the scorching July heat and a disappointing final score, the BCIU Night at the Reading Fightin Phils was a grand slam for fun and connection!

Held on Sunday, July 27, at FirstEnergy Stadium, the evening brought BCIU and Pennsylvania Key staff, Board members, and their families and friends for a relaxed, family-friendly night at the ballpark. The event started with photo opportunities featuring the Phillie Phanatic and Winnie the Pooh, much to the enjoyment of children (and a few grown-ups, too!). Leading up to the game, BCIU team members handed out clear event drawstring bags donning the BCIU logo and filled with BCIU swag and hiring information. The youngest attendees received BCIU-themed coloring packets and crayons. In addition to the BCIU’s concourse presence, a special moment was shared by all on the field when Henry Boyer, a student in the BCIU Early Intervention Program, threw the first pitch.

Wearing bright red BCIU event t-shirts, the BCIU group stood out in the crowd. From sharing ballpark snacks to enjoying time with colleagues and loved ones, the evening offered a welcome chance to connect beyond the workplace.

Thank you to all who joined us and helped make this summer event a success. We are already looking forward to next year’s night at the ballpark!
