Cody Snyder, Level VI Program Secretary, Transportation, in the Office of Operations, has been named Employee of the Month for May 2025.
“Mr. Snyder consistently goes above and beyond in his role, demonstrating exceptional dedication, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude that uplifts everyone around him,” said Julie Van Lear, Assistant Program Administrator for Transportation. “He approaches every challenge with professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset. Mr. Snyder exemplifies our core values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation, and his impact on the team and organization is truly appreciated.”
Cody grew up in Leesport and now lives in Mohrsville. He earned his associate degree in science/healthcare from Penn State University. Cody and his husband, Robert, are proud parents of their 12-year-old son, John.
Outside of work, Cody enjoys going to the mountains, visiting the beaches of Delaware, and spending time with his family.
Cody shares that the most rewarding part of his role is serving the students of Berks County, assisting BCIU Transportation staff, and welcoming new employees during the onboarding process.
You might not know that Cody is deeply involved in his community. He serves as Vice President of the Schuylkill Valley Youth Soccer Executive Board and Secretary of the Schuylkill Valley Education Foundation. Cody and his husband were also foster parents, a journey that led to the adoption of their son. They continued fostering children until 2017.
