Student Services

The BCIU offers services to help young people continue their education when they find themselves in the extraordinary circumstances of homelessness or young parenthood. Examples of services for these young people include:

  • Help with enrollment, school supplies, and agency referrals for children and youth experiencing homelessness.
  • Instruction for teenage parents on how to care for their babies, as well as help in continuing their education and/or finding employment.

More information can be found at the links below.

The PA Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (ECYEH) Program is committed to ensuring that all students experiencing homelessness have the opportunity to succeed in school.

Pregnant & Parenting Teens

The BCIU’s Pregnant and Parenting Teen Program, Project ELECT (Education Leading to Employment and Career Training), and the ELECT Fatherhood Initiative help young people raise healthy children and become better parents.
