Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn.
There’s more to a child’s education than reading, writing, and ‘rithmetic. There’s art. Music. Theater. Academic contests. The chance to perform in a concert or to attend a summer program that gives a student the chance to explore a forest.
And that’s where the BCIU’s student enrichment programs come in. Via partnerships with businesses, artists, musicians, colleges, and non-profit organizations in Berks County and beyond, the BCIU offers young people a true wealth of activities designed to enhance and expand their education.
In addition, school students have many opportunities to participate in summer learning programs in the Berks County area and across Pennsylvania.
Berks County’s public high schools compete in four Pennsylvania Academic Competition matches each year from November through March. The format is a fast-paced recall of academic material. The winning team represents Berks County in the final academic competition, held each spring at the State Capitol in Harrisburg.
All matches will be held at the BCIU’s Main Office Building in the Commonwealth A and B Rooms. First match starts at 8:30 AM and the last one should end at approximately 12:45 p.m. PM. There are a total of 8 matches usually taking about 25 minutes each to complete.
The match will be postponed if any school is on a delay due to inclement weather and made-up as per the schedule above.
