Nonpublic services include Act 89 and Title I services. Act 89 is a state-funded program that provides a variety of services to the nonpublic schools of Berks County. Services include remedial reading and math instruction and psychological services. Title I is a federally funded remedial reading program that provides Title I services to students through an agreement with their school district of residence. BCIU educators provide small-group instruction for academically at-risk students in literacy and mathematics using research-based best practices.
