Eric Clemmer serves as the assistant director for operations in the Berks County Intermediate Unit’s Office of Business Services. In his role, Mr. Clemmer is responsible for developing and managing all business operations as they relate to all the components/programs that comprise the Intermediate Unit including management of operations, maintenance, purchasing, and transportation. 

Mr. Clemmer started with the BCIU in 1991 and has held various positions within the organization, including program administrator for operations, assistant program administrator for purchasing services, procurement specialist, and parts clerk.

Mr. Clemmer is a graduate of the Oley Valley School District. He is an accredited purchasing practitioner and certified purchasing manager from the Institute for Supply Management. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO), the mid-east chapter of PASBO, and Berks Facilities Managers.
