The Berks County Intermediate Unit’s Office of Business Services and Operations has developed a new Custodial Checklist that outlines best practices to ensure a healthy and safe workplace.
The manual provides detailed checklists for daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning, as well as a deep clean checklist and best safety practices for custodial staff.
“The health and safety of staff, students, and the community remains the top priority of the BCIU,” said Mrs. Donna DeLoretta, BCIU Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. “This checklist is another key tool in our efforts to prevent exposure to COVID-19 within the organization.”
Checklists are specific to each BCIU-operated facility and provide details for the cleaning of classrooms; office space; and common areas, including bathrooms, stairwells, break rooms, and entryways.
