Over the past three years, three Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) staff members completed the process to become Certified Data Wise coaches, joining an international network of 145 Certified Data Wise coaches from five countries, 15 U.S. states, and 17 other coaches from Pennsylvania.
The Data Wise Project, facilitated by the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Koru Strategy Group, prepared and supported the Data Wise Coach candidates in their work with school teams from Pennsylvania’s lowest-performing schools. This project used collaborative data inquiry to drive continuous improvement of teaching and learning for all students. As certified Data Wise coaches, the three BCIU consultants are qualified to teach educators the Data Wise Improvement Process and coach teams as they launch and work their way through a cycle of inquiry.
Congratulations to our three BCIU colleagues for their commitment to data-informed decision- making to ensure the success of all students!
