Education leaders from our 18 Berks County school districts were in attendance at the 21st Annual Superintendents’ and Board Presidents’ Workshop on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
Mr. Bill Gleason, Safety and Security Program Administrator for the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU), was the keynote speaker for the event. Mr. Gleason spoke about school safety and security from a leadership perspective, provided an update on emergency preparedness tools and best practices, and gave insight into the latest recommendations from the Department of Homeland Security in handling threats to school buildings.
