BCIU’s Office of Professional Learning coordinated the 2022 Common Inservice program held on Monday, October 10, for over 300 Berks County educators. Our partners across Berks County offered their facilities for many of the professional development sessions.
Art teachers were at the Boyertown Area High School, music educators were at the Muhlenberg Junior High School, English as a Second Language teachers were at Reading Area Community College, and the technology/STEM educators started their day at Met-Ed / First Energy and then traveled to Berks Career and Technology Center West. In addition, librarians, teachers of the gifted, and paraprofessionals received instruction at the BCIU Main Office.
Each group’s presenter(s) focused on relevant professional development for each specialized curriculum. All sessions were designed to provide meaningful information for educators to implement and share with their colleagues within their home districts.
