On Saturday, November 17, 2007, employees from BCIU’s Transportation program participated in Downtown Reading’s Annual Holiday Parade.

More than 65 employees and children kicked off the holiday season by participating in the event. A team of Transportation employees decorated a BCIU bus with tinsel, garland, Christmas stockings, and other holiday decor. The group handed out candy to children along the parade route, which extended from 11th and Penn streets to Second and Penn streets in downtown Reading.
Holiday spirit was in the air as excited children and spectators anxiously awaited Santa’s arrival to officially mark the start of the holiday season.
In addition to BCIU staff members, the parade
featured marching bands, colorful floats, costumes, and, of course, old Saint Nick.
