EDUCATIONAL STABILITY FOR FOSTER CARE YOUTH

Educational Stability for Foster Care Youth

Children in foster care frequently change schools which can be disruptive to their education. The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 promotes school stability and success for foster care youth by formalizing provisions for school districts and child welfare agencies. The Berks County Intermediate Unit provides technical assistance and professional development related to the education of foster care youth. For questions and training requests, please contact our regional office at (610) 987-8509.
