BCIU Child Care
If you’re looking for safe, nurturing, and educational child care for your children, look no further than the BCIU. We’ve been providing quality child care for Berks County’s children since 1971. We now have 15 classrooms located within 9 centers across Berks County.

Berks County Early Head Start
BCIU has partnered with the PA Office of Child Development and Early Learning and two Keystone STAR 4 Child Care providers to offer high quality, comprehensive, early head start services.

Preschool Early Intervention
Preschool Early Intervention in Pennsylvania consists of services and supports designed to help families with children ages 3 to 5 who have developmental delays. It is a process that promotes collaboration among parents, caregivers, service providers, and others significantly involved with your child.

Berks County Head Start
The Berks County Head Start program is a comprehensive preschool program free of charge to qualifying families. The Berks County Head Start program services children ages three years through five years old. In order to qualify, families must meet the income guidelines established by the federal government. A family’s income must not exceed 100% of the federal poverty rate.

Pre-K Counts
Pre-K Counts is a comprehensive preschool program offered free of charge to qualifying families with an income less than 300% of the federal poverty rate. Pre-K Counts classrooms prepare and teach preschool children the school readiness skills they need, foster intellectual, social, and emotional growth; provide opportunities that will help prepare students for future school and life successes; and increase the chance of doing well in school, attending college or trade school, and having a successful career.
