JOINT PURCHASING INFORMATION FOR SCHOOLS

By operating according to established procedures for quotations, bids, and purchases, the Berks County Joint Purchasing Board ensures economical procurement of supplies and services required by members of the consortium.

Economies of scale in purchasing are available for a wide variety of items, such as copy paper, grocery, food service paper products, custodial supplies, trash removal, and classroom and office supplies.

The Berks County Joint Purchasing Board’s bids are available to all 18 school districts and the two career and technology centers of Berks County at no charge.
