The Berks County Crisis Management Flight Team provides counseling and emotional support to schools in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The team is composed of dedicated local school counselors, psychologists, teachers, and administrators.
When a crisis occurs, and a school requests assistance from the Flight Team, the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) team coordinator dispatches team members to the school to lend assistance to staff and students.
Please note: BCIU’s normal business hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The team coordinator may be contacted 24 hours a day, seven days a week via the team’s hotline: 610-987-8600 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A call to the hotline during normal business hours will be forwarded to the BCIU receptionist, who will contact the team coordinator. A call to the hotline outside of normal business hours will be forwarded to an automated system which will prompt you to choose the coordinator’s home or cell phone number. If you do not make person-to-person contact with the team coordinator, please call back and try the next option.
