20 Berks County educators representing 11 schools benefitted from internship placements at 13 local businesses by participating in the 2018 inside BERKS business (iBb) program this summer. During their five-day teacher/intern experiences, participants got an inside look at Berks County businesses and received exposure to modern workplace technologies to increase their awareness of the need for career preparation and to provide them with relevant, first-hand experiences to enrich instruction.
The iBb program for 2018 provided wonderful opportunities for learning and collaboration between the education and business communities of Berks County.

On Thursday, August 9, educator and business partners attended an appreciation and recognition reception to mark the completion of this worthwhile experience. inside BERKS business is offered through the Berks County Intermediate Unit, in partnership and collaboration with the Berks County Education Coalition (BBEC) and Berks County school districts. The program has been in existence since 1984.
