Video-On-Demand (VOD)

Berks ETS began a VOD pilot program in Spring 2001 to provide participating schools with digital media capable of streaming and downloading. Key features of this AGC unitedstreaming.com pilot program include:

	Titles in a variety of core curricular areas
	Web viewability via the best possible image that the school's connectivity will permit
	flexibility to play entire video or a specific clip
	navigation around the program through index and chapter features
	keyword searching capability
	video content correlated to curriculum standards
	downloadable correlations and teacher guides

Berks ETS provides schools in Berks and Schuylkill counties with media and library services.  The media library contains over 10,000 media items:

	videotapes
	CD-ROMs
	DVDs
	Multimedia kits
	SIMCA kits

StarLab

Berks County Intermediate Unit offers training to the teachers of Berks and Schuylkill counties in the instructional use of the StarLab portable planetarium. BCIU has three planetariums that teachers may borrow after completing a basic skills training program.
