The Confucius Classroom at the Berks County Intermediate Unit and the Confucius Institute at the University of Pittsburgh co-sponsored their second annual Chinese speech competition on May 17, 2012, at the BCIU Education Centre.

Students of all levels of Chinese language learning competed through written translation and oral delivery against other students for first, second, and third place in four different proficiency levels.

The day included the competition as well as a traditional dragon dance, showcased student artwork, a chopsticks relay, and interactive Chinese song learning.
