STARTALK Mandarin Chinese Summer Program
June 13, 14, 17-21, 24-28, 2013
Gateway to China:
Learning LanguaGe through Performing Arts
Join us for an exciting 12 day intensive non-residential program to learn Mandarin language and Chinese culture. This free program offers a wonderful opportunity for students to work with experts in the fields of Chinese martial arts, theater and language.
The Berks County Intermediate Unit’s summer language program, Gateway to China: STARTALK - Language Learning through Performing Arts, is funded by the National Security Language Initiative (NSLI). NSLI was created in 2006 to promote the learning of less commonly taught languages.
Students will participate in hands-on experiences throughout the camp. A closing recital for parents, families, and community members will showcase student work. The final day of camp will be a field trip for all participating students.
