SAS inSCHOOL Curriculum PATHWAYS

Curriculum Pathways®, developed by SAS inSchool, provides online curriculum resources for students and teachers in grades 8-12. Due to the generosity of an anonymous donor and the Berks Business Education Coalition, Curriculum Pathways is now available to all Berks County secondary public and parochial schools through the BCIU.

Available for English, social studies, mathematics, science, and Spanish, these curriculum resources are mapped to state and national standards and provide rigorous, content-based materials that appeal to students of all ability levels and learning styles. Teachers can plan more efficiently and integrate technology in support of academic goals, while the Student Gateway provides easy access to online activities appropriate for classroom use, review, enrichment, or homework.

A Wealth of Online Material
Sample topics include modules on: Romanticism, English language usage and conventions, plate tectonics, molecular biology, properties of circles, linear equations, empires of Asia, Americans in a global society, conversational Spanish, and Spanish customs and traditions.

SAS inSchool was established in 1996 as a division of SAS Institute, the world's largest privately held software company. SAS inSchool resources have been listed among the top software programs by the Gateway to Educational Materials, Technology and Learning, the Southern Regional Education Board, and other national consortia. SAS inSchool has won Technology & Learning magazine's Award of Excellence several times.

All of the public school districts and parochial secondary schools in Berks County are currently enrolled in the program. BCIU staff members are available to provide training for teachers and other district personnel on an as-needed basis.
