REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Theory instruction (either in the classroom or online) and behind-the-wheel training may be taken as separate training components.

Driver Training Rates*

• Online Theory Instruction - $100.00
• Classroom Instruction - $125.00
• Behind-the-Wheel Training - $280.00

    *rates effective 7/1/09–6/30/10

Online Theory Instruction

Driver education theory instruction is available online through an arrangement with the Edward Savioz Driver Training School. Students may register for the course at http://BCIU.KeysToDriving.com.

Classroom-based theory instruction normally is offered three times per year. Classes are conducted after school at Boyertown Area School District in mid-October and mid-February. In addition, a summer class is normally held at Boyertown Area Senior High School.

When a class reaches maximum enrollment, registration forms no longer will be accepted and a waiting list will be established. Advance payments are not accepted. If there is space available, students from other districts may register for classroom instruction.

Behind-the-Wheel Training

Registration for behind-the-wheel training is accepted for all Berks County students throughout the year. However, due to a high volume of students, a hold may be placed on accepting registration forms, and a waiting list is established. Advance payments are not accepted.
