Child Care Information Services of Berks County (CCIS) provides the following services:
- Information about child care and community resources
- Child care referrals
- Child care funding for eligible families
CCIS, a program of the Berks County Intermediate Unit, is funded by the Department of Public Welfare. The program’s primary goal is to help Berks County families find and select affordable, quality child care.
CCIS provides child care funding to low- and moderate-income working families, to students pursuing a high school diploma, and to County Assistance Office clients who are attending approved work or training programs.
Interested families must meet income guidelines and demonstrate a need for child care in order to qualify. Eligible families may enroll at the provider of their choice, as funds are available. Child care resource and referral services are available to all families, free of charge.
