For example, if a student is interested in subjects not offered by his or her school district, such as Chinese or forensics, he or she may continue the district’s standard curriculum while taking additional courses through Berks Online Learning.

BCIU works with school districts, students, their families, hardware vendors, and Lincoln Interactive through every step of the program, ensuring a quality educational experience.
BCIU functions as a liaison between local district guidance counselors, Lincoln Interactive instructors, and students, monitoring student progress and providing status updates.
BCIU’s administrative services for Berks Online Learning include:
- Establishing and managing contracts with Lincoln Interactive and the hardware vendor
- Coordinating the procurement, the configuration, and the distribution and delivery of all the necessary hardware
- Coordinating the acquisition of an accidental damage protection plan on the hardware
- Managing all related billing services and accounting processes
