Timothy Heffner, President Fleetwood Area Tim joined the Fleetwood Area School District board in 1998 and the BCIU board in 2000. Timothy, a graduate of Fleetwood Area High School, is the president of DESCCO Design and Construction. He enjoys vegetable gardening and watching professional baseball and football. |

Robert Quinter, Jr., Vice President Exeter Township Robert has been a member of the Exeter Township board for seven years and joined the BCIU board in 2004. A retired U.S. Marine Corps aviator, he currently is a realtor with Prudential, Landis Homesale Services in Wyomissing. A father of three, he enjoys spending his free time playing with his grandchildren. |

Ralph C. Richard, Secretary Oley Valley Ralph has been a member of the Oley Valley School District board since 1998 and joined the BCIU board in December 2003. He currently works as a commercial banker for Wachovia Corporation, where he has been employed since 1981. Ralph is married and has two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys working in the garden and traveling. |

Beverly Daniels, Treasurer Antietam Bev is in her fourteenth year as an Antietam school board member. She joined the BCIU board in 1995. Beverly earned her B.S. and M.Ed. degrees in education from Kutztown University, studied computers at Albright College, and is the co-owner of Bevwood Carpets. A mother of two daughters, she enjoys photography, gardening, and crafts. |

John Crossley Boyertown Area John has been on the Boyertown Area School District board for 12 years and joined the BCIU board in 1999. John is retired and actively involved with community organizations such as the Boyertown Lions Club. He also sits on the board of the Berks County Association for the Blind, Inc. In his free time, John enjoys working outdoors in his garden. |

Robert Lowry Brandywine Heights Area Robert is serving his fourth year on the Brandywine Heights Area School District board. He joined the BCIU board in 2006. Robert received his degree in petroleum engineering from Mississippi State University and is president of PKW Software. He is married and has two grown children. |

Thomas Schmoyer Conrad Weiser Area Thomas was elected to the Conrad Weiser Area board in 2000 and the BCIU board in 2003. Thomas and his wife, Elizabeth, are retired, and they serve as volunteers on numerous local and state boards. They have two grown children and one grandchild. In his spare time, Thomas is a woodcarver, PSU Master Gardner, and enjoys traveling. |

Jo Ann Hartzell Daniel Boone Area Jo Ann has been a member of the Daniel Boone Area school board, as well as the BCIU board, since 2005. She is heavily involved in the Great Valley Girl Scout Council. She has a Cadette and Senior Girl Scout Troop and is the service unit director for the Daniel Boone Area Service Unit. |

Brent Worley Governor Mifflin Brent was elected to the Governor Mifflin school board in 1977 and to the BCIU board two years later. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Delaware, he is currently self-employed in the insurance profession. Brent is a member of the Berks County Historical Society and the Treatment Access and Service Center. In addition, he enjoys gardening and collecting books and antiques. |

Brian Specht Hamburg Area Brian is in his seventh year on the Hamburg Area School District board where he serves as vice president. Brian came to the BCIU board in 2003. Brian is the vice president of Strausser Insurance Agency, Inc. in Hamburg. In his free time, Brian enjoys skiing, biking, and attending his two sons' sporting events. |

Carl H. Ziegler Kutztown Area Carl joined the BCIU board in 2008. He currently is serving his fourteenth year on the Kutztown Area School District board and has served as the board vice president since 1999. Carl is a mathematics instructor at the Berks Career & Technology Center. He is married with five children. Carl is active with Habitat for Humanity and enjoys cycling, politics, and outdoor activities. |

Donald B. Raifsnider, Jr. Muhlenberg Don is currently in his fourteenth year on the Muhlenberg School District board. He joined the BCIU board in 2005. Don is the chairman of the Joint Operating Committee of the Reading-Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center. He is the PSBA liaison and also the Berks County Legislative chair. Don is married and has three daughters and eight grandchildren and enjoys computer programming and Web site design. |

Yvonne Stroman Reading Yvonne joined both the Reading School District board and the BCIU board in 2005. Yvonne is the director of community partnership programs with the Community Prevention Partnership of Berks County. She serves on the Reading Police Diversity Board, Reading Fire Civil Service Board, Berks County Children & Youth Advisory Board, and the Berks County Board of Visitors. In her free time, she enjoys reading and sports. |

Joseph C. Buda Schuylkill Valley Joe has been on the Schuylkill Valley School District board for 22 years. He has served as a director on the BCIU board for 16 years. Joseph currently is chair of the BCIU Nominations Committee. He is retired from NGK Metals Corporation. In his retirement, Joseph enjoys cooking, baking, and gardening. |

Evelyn F. Fox Tulpehocken Area Eveylyn is serving her tenth year on the Tulpehocken Area school board and her sixth as a member of the BCIU board. She currently acts as treasurer for her school board and is also a member of the Personnel, Transportation, and Finance committees. She is retired from Carpenter Technology. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoys reading, playing the piano, and singing in the church choir. She is married with two grown sons. |

Gary McEwen Twin Valley Gary has been a member of the Twin Valley School District board for the past 15 years, where he is a member of the Finance/Building and Instructional committees. He has been a member of the BCIU board since 2004. Gary is employed at Berks Homes as the director of land development. He also serves on the executive board of the Tel Hai Retirement Community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his granddaughter and playing on his farm. |

Carol Reid Wilson Carol joined the Wilson School District board in 2005. This is her fourth year on the BCIU board. She is a retired Title 1 reading teacher. She received her undergraduate degree in education from Bucknell University and her M.Ed. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She serves as the education chairperson for the Women's Club of Spring Township. In her free time, she enjoys golf, scrapbooking, and reading. She has five grandchildren, with a sixth due in June 2009. |

Randall E. Hinsey Wyomissing Randy is serving his third year on the Wyomissing Area School District board as well as the BCIU board. He is married with one daughter. In his spare time, Randy coaches youth basketball and soccer. |
