OFFICE OF THE Assistant Executive Director

Dr. Jill M. Hackman serves as assistant executive director of the Berks County Intermediate Unit. She came to the BCIU June 1, 2009, after serving as a central office administrator for the Warwick School District, one year as assistant superintendent and eight years as director of student services. Her experience also includes employment at the School District of Lancaster as a special education instructional facilitator. She started her career as a middle school special education teacher at the Mechanicsburg Area School District.

Dr. Hackman earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education from Millersville University, a master of education degree in educational administration from Temple University, and a doctor of education degree in educational leadership and administration from Immaculata University. Dr. Hackman holds a K-12 Principal's Certification, Special Education Supervisory Certification, and a Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility.
